What If?!

New Radicals, this Rock band had two singles You Get What You Give and Someday We'll Know two great songs and a great album.
The frontman, Gregg Alexander, disbanded the group because he wanned to focus on writing and producing songs for other artists.
So what if, they stayed together, will they be world famous.....or not. We will never know.

Tomodashi

Friends, I am happy to have them. When I was in school, some years ago we had to do a paper about friendship, it was very hard, to write it in words.
What is friendship? Sometimes you ask yourself that question and the answer is ofcourse not just one simply word. Friendschip is loyalty, trust and love. Friendship is more then one word (thank god for that)
Friendship, how thus that exist? It begins at a very young age, when two little childern sit next to each other. The child has to share a doll at the beginning, to play with each other, if there both satisfied they look each other up, the next time.
I friend is someone who mustly thinks like you, listen to what you have to say and shares your experiences and will be with you true sickniss and in health. I friend trusts and tells you everything, his or her deepest secrets and vice versa. If your friends with someone, for your own benefit and don't care for them at all. If friendship is based on that, it will be just like a beautiful rose you pick, when picking this rose you don't see the torn on the base of the rose, until it hits you and you suddenly let go of the rose in your hand. That's how fast a friend will let you go, if they feel that the friendship isn't that importened to you. You will fall and know what you lost when you F*** ** a great friendschip.
Friendship brings the best in us. When you see a friend  and have talked to them you feel a intens happiness. A friend brings always a big smile on your face. As the Greek tragedian said ''One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives''
The feeling of love is what makes the friendship work, you can't be friends and not like each other. Friendship is a feeling, inside your heart, you know if someone respects you, listen to what you have to say, feels your pain, knows what you like and dislike and knows when your depressed and when your at your happiest. That's true friendship. As we say in dutch ''vrienden maak je met het hart, niet met de tong of de vuist'' (You make friends with the heart, not with your tongue or fist)
But if you think about it, the friendship that you have is an amazing thing it just fell on your lap. Did you do something to deserve it? Friendship is luck, it just as well couldn't have happend.
In friendship there are some rules. You have to let it's other go, sometimes you need air, if it's not there, the friendship will have a suffocating character, that we don't want. You cannot claim a friend alone for yourself. They are free to do what the want, whenever the want, and with whom the want to do it. (I can not breatheeeeeeee)
So friendship is worth everything. Nobody is that rich he can let a friend shoot. Friends intend the best with you. Friends are always there when you need them. At moments when you don't even think of them, the come knockin on your door (or call). Friends are just like stars, you do not always see them, but they are there. Therefore if you have a friend nourish them and never let them loose. Even if it means going threw the fire for them, because a friend is certainly  worth it. Keeping in touch is a must, because like thriving plants, friendship has to be fed at times.
So if you have a feeling that you miss one of your friends give them a call, write an email or message them. And just tell them i cheerish you or ofcourse what we always say, 'he what you doing'. Because you never knowwwwwww...
This message is to all my friends and family LUV YA ALL, because I realise I don't say it that much. I dedicate this song for you all.

Varekai

Two of my good friends and I went to cirque du soleil Varekai. It was on of the most beautiful things I ever saw, since a very long time..
The performance was extra ordinary, life music and singing. Beautiful costumes, and they don't look fake at all.
There where a lot of acts and all were soo great. I specially loved (ne me quitte pas) of the clown act, the russian swings and solo on Crutches
The act on crutches is a guy who in his childhood had polio and lost control of his left leg and some control of his right. It's so great that even with a handicap your determined to do something with your life.

The Silence of The Lambs

I have seen this movie a lots of times, but it's still great to watch over and over again.
The best performance of Jodie Foster as Clarice Starling and Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector (Hannibal the Cannibal). There's a chemistry between Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins when they both are in a scene, you can see that both have physical wounds and in a way understand each other.
This movie has won 5 oscars, for best director, best adapted screenplay, best screenplay and ofcourse best actor and actress.
The Plot:
Clarice Starling is giving a task by Jack Crawford (of the behavioral Science unit) to go the the fames Hannibal the Cannibal, and presenting him with a VICAP questionnaire. See meets Dr Lector who's restrained behind thick glass.
While this happens on the otherside Buffalo Bill abducts a daughter of the united states senator.
Clarice then accompanies Crawford to West Virginia and performs an autopsy on a victim of Buffalo Bill, and finds in the throat of the victim a Death's-head Hawkmoth. Crawford authorizes Starling to offer Hannibal Lecter a fake deal promising a prison transfer if he provides information that helps profile Buffalo Bill and rescue Catherine Martin.
But Hannibal wants personal information from Clarice, inexchange for information, he has on Buffalo Bill. Unaware to both Starling and Lector, Dr. Frederick Chilton tapes the conversation and after revealing Starling's deal as a scam, offers to transfer Lecter in exchange for a deal of his own making. Lecter agrees and following a flight to Tennessee where he gives false information of Buffalo Bills real name.
Starling travels to Lecter's special cell in a local Tennessee courthouse, where she confronts him about the false information. Here Starling, tells Hannibal about her worst childhood memorys. Hours later, Lecter escapes from his cell, attacking his two guards. After being notified of Lecter's escape Clarica takes the case file and looks at the notes that Hannibal made before realizing that the first victim Frederica Bimmel, knew Bill in real life before he killed her. Starling travels to Bimmel's hometown and discovers that Bimmel was a tailor and has dresses with templates identical to the patches of skin removed from Buffalo Bill's victims. Realizing that Buffalo Bill is a tailor fashioning a "woman suit" of real skin.
Scenes I like the most:
You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well-scrubbed, hustling rube, with a little taste. Good nutrition's given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed - pure West Virginia. What does your father do? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you. All those tedious, sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars, while you could only dream of getting out. Getting anywhere, getting all the way to the F...B...I.
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chi-an-ti.
Lecter: No. It's your turn to tell me, Clarice. You don't have any more vacations to sell. Why did you leave that ranch?
Clarice: Doctor, we don't have any more time for any of this now.  Lecter: But we don't reckon time the same way, do we, Clarice? This is all the time you'll ever have. Clarice: Later. Now please, listen to me. We've only got five... Lecter: NO! I will listen now. After your father's murder, you were orphaned. You were ten years old. You went to live with cousins on a sheep and horse ranch in Montana. And...? Clarice (tears begin forming in her eyes): And one morning, I just ran away. Lecter: No 'just,' Clarice. What set you off? You started at what time? Clarice: Early, still dark. Lecter: Then something woke you, didn't it? Was it a dream? What was it? Clarice: I heard a strange noise.  Lecter: What was it? Clarice: It was - screaming. Some kind of screaming, like a child's voice. Lecter: What did you do? Clarice: I went downstairs, outside. I crept up into the barn. I was so scared to look inside, but I had to. Lecter: And what did you see, Clarice? What did you see? Clarice: Lambs. The lambs were screaming. Lecter: They were slaughtering the spring lambs? Clarice: And they were screaming.  Lecter: And you ran away? Clarice: No. First I tried to free them. I-I opened the gate to their pen, but they wouldn't run. They just stood there, confused. They wouldn't run. Lecter: But you could and you did, didn't you?  Clarice: Yes. I took one lamb, and I ran away as fast as I could. Lecter: Where were you going, Clarice? Clarice: I don't know. I didn't have any food, any water and it was very cold, very cold. I thought, I thought if I could save just one, but - he was so heavy. So heavy. I didn't get more than a few miles when the sheriff's car picked me up. The rancher was so angry he sent me to live at the Lutheran orphanage in Bozeman. I never saw the ranch again. Lecter: What became of your lamb, Clarice? Clarice: They killed him.
  • The escape of Hannibal
  • When the FBI think they found the killer and a flower delivery guy rings the bell twice.  So thrilling god..

Kate Rusby

I found a new folksinger and as my title above her name is Kate Rusby. I love her voice, just beautiful, so pure and enchanting. I found her by pure chance on youtube, while looking for 'You Belong To Me' At first I thought she was Irish, but this barsley nightingale, as she is sometimes called, comes from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. I can't really compare these songs with any artist I know. So give this Barsley nightingale a chance.
Some songs:
And of course many more songs.

My Room

Thank god, I finished my room. But the awful part of it all, is to put everything back. So in reality I'm not done yet. First of all I'm waiting for my closet before I begin with putting everything back. I can't even find my camera and I miss my dvd collection!!!!
While thinking of all that I take a look outside (I put my curtains away, gone buy new ones) and think, goddd, why do I have to complain so much. It's really easy to complain about everything in life. Why do I have to do that all the time. While complaining you can just say. I'm finished with painting. Let's begin with the next step of the pyramide (thinking of the song you belong to me). This song is also been covered many times. Most people will know the jason wade (lifehouse)version.
But back to my room, I find it very cold without my monday sucks poster, my dvd's and other stuff I got from my friends. The only things I have in my room right now or my bed, my desk with my computer and printer and my bookshelf were it put my dvd's and it's empty. You can hear the echo of the room when I put my music on. I can hear my room just screaming I'm nakedddddd. I can't wait the put my other poster (pulp fiction) on my wall.
So my room is naked and it will stay naked for a few days more, sorry mate.
now back to you, Tom Tucker

Blowin In The Wind

I was looking at a commercial of fiat and i heard  'blowin in the wind' and I liked the song very much. So I looked at wiki and found out it was orginally from Bob Dylan. But the song in the fiat commercial was a woman's voice. So I went to youtube and found out that it was Katie Melua who sang the song. I have some songs of Bob Dylan but this one I didn't have so this one will go in to my iTunes and Ipod.
But I couldn't leave it at that (oh no, because i'm that crazy) I went and looked at every artist who sang this song. This is a great song and you have to give it a listen before judging it.
It's a shame I couldn't find all the song versions.
I loved the Katie Melua, Sam Cook and the Vanessa Paradis & Suzanne Vega version.
Take Care
Here are the lyrics of the song:
"Blowin' In The Wind"
How many roads most a man walk downBefore you call him a man ?
How many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand ?
Yes, how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind.
Yes, how many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea ?
Yes, how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free ?
Yes, how many times can a man turn his head Pretending he just doesn't see ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind.
Yes, how many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky ? Yes, how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I hate reading the news paper

So it's Friday, a week has gone by since my first blog message... Time sure flies by...
Some days I feel like I have done nothing (What have i done???)...I feel sort of empty.. I want to travel. I soooooo want to go to China...But the circumstances prevent me from going.. Since I have parents who are not at there best. I have to stay by there side, but some day I will go there... to China. I can't wait when that day comes..I already feel a little bit better.
I release that the world is really crazy these days.. I don't even read the paper anymore, because of all the shitty things that are happening in this world of ours.. But today was one of those days when you pick a paper in a restaurant, who someone left aside, when drinking a hot cacao milk (i hate coffee) you read some articles. It was an English paper (i think the Times.) And while I was reading I already thought (what the hell am i doing, i hate papers) I'm home, but still one of those articles is still in my head it was like this.:
'French 'virgin-hunter' Michel Fourniret refuses to speak at trial'
This crazy person and his crazy wife, look like the perfect couple. But meanwhile these people kidnap girls, drug, rape and then kill them. It was utterly discasting and I was thinking why in godsname have i picked up the paper. This is way I don't read or watch the news.
I will never pick up a news paper (yeahh right)

Orange Chiffon Cake

This cake is delicious. The only thing I did different is I used plain flower and not cake flour.

Feast Salad

Ingredients:
3 or 4 boiled eggs
Can of corn
250 gr of rise
1 can of tuna in water
2 carrots little pieces
5 potatoes pieces
1 cucumber
1 broccoli
1 couliflower
2 tomatoes
100 gr string beans little pieces
1 lettace
2 beets pieces
corriander
salt
1,5 tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin
6 tbsp Mayonnaise
Preparation:
The carrots, coliflower, broccoli, spring beans steam them when cooked let them cool down.
Potatoes cook them in water and salt and let them cool down.
Beets i've bought those already cooked and sliced.
Slice the tomatoes in to pieces.
Cucumber one half in round slices and another half in little pieces. Prepare the lettace.
The rise cook this in water and salt and also let it cool down
Now you can prepare the salad. Get a big plate for the salad and put all the lettace on the plate.
Prepar the salad saus for the rise and vegetables.
The saus:
Take a small bowl and put the mayonnaise and pepper in it and mix if the saus is to thick put some  sunflower  in it.
Take the cooled down rise and put it in a bowl, take the tuna drain the water and put it with the rise put some saus with the mixter. Grab a soup bowl put some corn first than the rise mixter and push it until theres no more room left. Get your plate and turn your bowl on the plate, now you get the rise mixter on your plate.
Now you can rearrange your vegetables. How ever you want!! You can also pick other vegetables if you like.
Most of the vegetables have the salad saus in them. Only the potatoes have cumin and corriander in them.
Bon appetit in Sabethir

Bastilla Chicken

This is a tradiotional Moroccan recipe with chicken, almonds and phyllo (fillo)pastry.
Ingredients:
For the chicken:
1,5 Chicken
2 onions minced
3 garlic cloves minced
fresh ginger minced
1 tsp powder ginger
1 tsp saffron powder
1 tsp salt
1 lemon juice
1 tsp moroccan chicken spices
2 tbsp sunflower oil
3 tbsp Parsley chopped
3 tbsp Coriander chopped
2 onions
water
5 eggs
The Almond mixter:
500 gram Blanched/fried almonds grounded
3 tbsp Sugar grounded
2,5 tbsp Cinnamon grounded
125 gram melted butter
1 tbsp grounded sugar
1 package Phyllo pastry
Garnish:
2 tbsp grounded sugar
1 tbsp grounded cinnamon
some almonds
Preparation:
Take the 1,5 chicken and put the following ingredients in a big bowl with the chicken. The minced onions, garlic and ginger, powder ginger, safron, salt, lemon juice, chicken spices, sunflower oil, chopped parsley and corinder. Leave the chicken a night in the refragerater to marinate.
You take the two chopped onions put them in a pan with  the chicken and add water barely covering the chicken. Let the chicken cook for a hour or until tender. Every 10 min or so roated the chicken. When the chicken is cooked you take it and leave it to cool.
Egg mixter:
You leave the juice in the pan until most of the water evaporates. You then put the 5 eggs in the pan and wisk very good until the juice is all dried up. You then let this cool down.
If the chickens cool down you peal the flesh from the bones in little pieces. You can loose the skin of the chicken.
Almond mixter:
Put 500 grams of almonds in a pan and pour cold to barely cover the almonds. Put them to a boil. Pull the pan from the heat and poor cold water over de almonds. And you can easly slip the skin off. Dry the almonds. Then put sunflower oil in a frying pan and put the almonds in until golden brown. Drain the almond from oil (leave some almonds for the garnish) and grind the almonds with the sugar and cinnamon.
You then put the pastry in a round pizza tin like that from a microwave. You put the phyllo pastry on top of the tin. You then put half of the chicken pieces on top, then half of the egg mixter, then half of the almond mixter then half of the butter. Then again the other half of everything you leave a little bit of butter. You put 2 tbsp of grounded sugar on top of the almonds then you put to layers of phyllo pastry on top. Make sure everything is form and tucked in the phyllo pastry. You then drizzel the left over butter. Put the Bastilla in the oven with a medium heat for 25 or 30 min. When finished you garnish the bastilla with grounded sugar with a small sieve and with your fingers take some cinnamon and let your imagination work. And put some half almonds on top.

Tomorrow.......

So, tomorrow I invited some friends...(I'm thinking, ohh god, i hope everything go's as planned)
I love it when friends and family come, and I am hosting a diner, I always want everythig to be just right. I tend to make always to much, because I think it's not enough. Let's say I think my guest will think I'm a greedy person if there's not much too choose. So I'm always left with lots of leftovers.
So yesterday was the beginning of some preperations, like baking some cookies and cake.
I was so busy, that it was half past 12 a.m. when i finished my baking. Today I'm preparing the chicken for the Bastilla (a traditional Moroccan dish with layers of chicken, almonds and phyllo pastry) On the side I will make same salad and as a beverage a fruitshake. (I'm still thinking is it enough, i hope so.......)
If all go's well, it will be a great day with my two best friends (with lots of food).
Recipes will come soon!!

My First Day As A Blogger

Pfoeee, and i'm not even finished yet. Here I am thinking what the hell i should say, so I'll begin simple. Let me talk about the weather.. It's raining very hard here in our little frogland (kikkerlandje) that's what we call it and it won't stop.
Tomorrow is Friday, that's a big day for us. It's our holy day, we go to the mosque and pray and listen to the imam.
And in our culture, i'm from morocco, we make couscous, hmmmm and we come together and eat and talk. But that's when your in Morocco, here it's different, we haven't got a big family. It's just me and my parents and my uncle, who we don't see that much, because he has his own family. So the people who have a big family, be proud of that and sure, the are sometimes annoying and bossy. But they are there for you when you need them. So this is my message for you, you never can say, I LOVE YOU to much. So shares your loved ones. And until next time. Boesa
